352nd Fighter Group

"Custodes Pro Defensione"

("Guardians for Defense", motto of the 352nd Fighter Group)

On this page you will find U.S. Military Personnel who were members of the World War II 352nd Fighter Group, which consisted of the 328th Fighter Squadron, the 486th Fighter Squadron (formerly the 21st Fighter Squadron), and the 487th Fighter Squadron (formerly the 34th Fighter Squadron).  The 352nd FG was activated at Brandley Field, Connecticut, in September 1942, deployed to Bodney, England, in July 1943, and was deactivated in November 1945.  The unit's lineage followed to the 113th Fighter Group (now the 113th Fighter Wing) of the Washington D.C. Air National Guard when it was activated in May 1946.
